15.25” L stone sits at 11” from clasp

The Indigo Bunting is a migratory bird that travels between the Midwest and Central America. These beautiful birds are known for the males being a brilliant blue due to light refraction and reflection (their feathers are not actually blue!) and the females being a gorgeous brown and taupe. This bolo reminded me of these birds.

The Leland Blue slag originates in the Midwest as well. These stones are a by product of the iron ore industry and can be found in Michigan.
